12/4/2017 – Living Life to the Fullest – Pr. Jerri Dizol
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all Glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more then we might ask or think. – Ephesians 3:19-20
To know that God’s love is all we need to live in completeness, and in fullness of life and power, is beyond my imagination.
Paul is speaking to the church of Ephesus here, but I believe that he is also speaking to us. After all, once we said “yes” to accepting and believing in Jesus Christ, we became the church. There is absolutely no other love that we can have, that would compare to the love of God AND, give us that kind of fullness in our lives.
I’ve read these scriptures before, but it’s just like the Father to reveal such great knowledge to me once again! He knows every single thing that we need and I needed this reminder today.
When we go through trials in life, we can tend to forget about the great love from God that is never lost. The enemy is so clever, that he keeps our trial at the forefront of our mind, therefore we lose sight of that great love. What took place on the cross should be imbedded in our minds. In verse 17, Paul says “Christ will make His home in our hearts as you trust In him, your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong”. Our trust in Him is the strength we need to survive anything life throws at us. We cannot get that kind of strength without Him. No matter what people might say about us or how difficult our trials may be, we must remember that we are loved by a God who is grace, mercy, and love, all in one.
Father, you are so good to have brought your word to me once again today. I am always in awe of you. I thank you for this great reminder of how much you love me. I pray that I will never forget to live in the fullness of you. I pray that my children will know of this same great love that you have for them as well. Thank you for the cross. In Jesus Name, Amen
